A little sign told me that Weldrick Road East will be closed at the CNR level crossing from July 20-24.  Weldrick is great to use to get between Bathurst/Yonge/Bayview/Spadina in order to avoid the super busy arterials.

For a detour, I will be going a little north to take Crosby eastbound over to Spadina.  Please note that there is no through traffic on Spadina southbound from Major Mac during rush hours.  No problem, just hop off your bike and use  the pedestrian crossing!

I went up to Centre street in Richmond Hill this morning on a lark to check out how much longer it would take me to get to work on the week of July 20-24. It turns out the level crossing on Centre will be closed on the week of July 13-17! I guess some stuff is getting replaced at the rail crossings in town. I might swing up to Crosby on my way home just to see if it’s closed this week just to satisfy my curiosity :)

Yesterday I rode over the tracks at Crosby, and this morning I rode the Centre street way. The crossings are smooooth. I’m hoping they fix up the Weldrick crossing nicely. It used rubber mats between the rails that were beginning to peel up – right on my cycling line, making it hazardous. I’ll see in a week!
